A few weeks ago, when the summer weather was first starting to get into full swing, Kate and I decided to finally check out Libertador – it’s right next to our apartment and we’ve been talking about it forever. We decided it was time to carpe diem and head alllll the way downstairs (don’t judge, 4 flights of stairs seems like a lot) and grab some dinner on their outdoor patio since it was a nice night.
Hello! Welcome to The Naturalized New Yorker – my first attempt at getting back into the writing game after being on hiatus since last May. I graduated from college last year with a degree in journalism, and my dream was always to move to the Big Apple and work as a writer or freelancer – AKA something that always looks super glamorous in movies. So, to get in my daily quota of creative writing and to scratch the writing itch I’ve been having since last summer, I decided to start a blog.
Now, I know a lot of people – my roommate included – will say, “Start a blog? Like a blog blog?” And, no. I don’t want a fashion blog where I take pictures of myself in outfits I wouldn’t actually wear and post it for fashion-y people to read. And, while I love those blogs and read tons of them, it’s just not my personality to do something like that. So, I’m deciding to take an alternate route.
