I’m Hannah – a New York City transplant. A Pittsburgh native and Boston University alumn, I moved to the city in the summer of 2014 to pursue my writing career. After landing a job as a copywriter instead of a journalist like I had originally planned, I was really missing the opportunity to do some longer form writing – and while this blog is by no means professional journalism, it helps me continue writing and also allows me to learn more and more about the big apple.
This blog has turned into a creative outlet and a perfect excuse to discover new neighborhoods, amazing restaurants, trendy bars, vintage shops and any other places around the city recommended to me our discovered through online research. The best part about New York City is that there is always something new to learn and another amazing place to find. The city can sometimes be overwhelming and challenging, but discovering a new favorite place can be a bright spot that reminds me New York is one of the best places on earth. I love exploring and writing this blog because it helps remind me that there’s always more good stuff to find, no matter what.
I am always looking to expand where I visit and the people I meet, so if you have a recommendation or an idea, please do not hesitate to reach out! I love the chance to connect with other New Yorkers or visitors who share my love for this crazy city I now call home. In my pursuit to become a “naturalized New Yorker” and learn all I ever want to know about the city that never sleeps, here is my online documentary of everywhere and anywhere amazingly awesome or hilariously terrible and anything in between. Read away.
