The sun is shining today in New York FINALLY after a terrible weeklong stretch of rain. In order to celebrate spring and see the city, some friends and I wandered around the Nolita area of Manhattan checking out some of New York’s murals. This neighborhood has a ton of them all pretty close to one another, so it’s a great place to take an hour or two and walk around when the weather’s beautiful.
If there’s one particular spot you want to see – I usually find them stalking Instagram and New York-based fashion bloggers – make sure to make your way there pretty quickly – while some of these murals hang around for a while, others will be painted over or torn down pretty quickly so your time window is sometimes limited. Don’t miss your chance to get some cute pictures with a stellar backdrop. Artist Kelsey Montague has done a lot of the Instagram-famous murals, along with artist James Goldcrown, who created the Bleeding Heart wall design. I Spy DIY recently wrote a great post that includes some of the top locations.
Peep my Instagram for some other wall art around around the city as well.
On this particular day, the weather was beautiful so I couldn’t waste the opportunity to break out a new spring dress and denim jacket – my go-to combo pretty much any day during the spring or summer. Easy to put together, but still looks like you actually made an effort (when you don’t even really need to – the best kind of outfit).
In other news, I am please to introduce the lovely ladies that have become my blogger tribe.
