I love New York – well, I love New York most of the time. Sometimes, though, you just need an escape from the craziness that comes with living in the city. And, what better way to do that than taking a trip to the Hamptons? Answer: No better way.
Out friend Chris lives in East Hampton, so I’ve been know to crash there a weekend or two (or ten…thanks, Chris!) so we decided to head out there one weekend in October to take in all of the fall-like things like changing foliage, a nice pit stop at the beach, and most importantly: cider donuts.
The next morning, we got up early in preparation for a day chalk-full of fall activities. First, a very filling and nutritious breakfast from Starbucks (as basic as it gets). Then, off to the pumpkin patch!! Hank’s Pumpkintown was really the spot to be on a Saturday afternoon. They have apple picking, pumpkin picking, giant sunflowers, a corn-themed train, and a playground. Hank’s has really got it going on for all of the small children + me and my 20-something friends (no shame). We wandered around for a bit, soaking up the fall-ness of it all before heading inside and buying the sought after cider donuts and some hot apple cider to warm us up.
